Fellows

Our Fellows actively work with our Project Teams throughout the semester, providing technical advice and research expertise. They are critical in helping us analyze data, build models, and evaluate robustness.

We also provide regular mentorship opportunities, graduate school panels, and professional opportunities to our researchers through the Fellows.

  • Alex Wu

    PhD Fellow | Harvard Economics and Harvard Business School

    Alex is a Ph.D. student at Harvard University studying Business Economics. His research interests include finance, industrial organization, and political economy. He received his A.B. from Harvard College in 2020, where he studied Economics and Math.

  • Laura Nicolae

    PhD Fellow | Harvard Economics and Harvard Business School

    Laura is a second-year Ph.D. student at Harvard University studying Business Economics, a joint degree that combines the Harvard Economics Ph.D. program with support from Harvard Business School. Previously, she worked as a research analyst in U.S. Economics at Goldman Sachs.

  • Claire Shi

    PhD Fellow | Harvard Economics and Harvard Business School

    Claire is a second year PhD student in Business Economics at Harvard. Her research interests are in household and public finance, with a focus on small business financing. In her spare time she enjoys yoga and reading. Her personal website is here: www.claireshi.com.

  • Carissa Chen

    Masters Fellow | Oxford University

    Carissa is a Rhodes Scholar studying for the MPhil in Economics at Oxford. She graduated from Harvard in May 2021 with a degree in history and economics. She grew up in Tustin, California, and was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

  • Ramiz Razzak

    Masters Fellow | Oxford University

    Ramiz is a Rhodes Scholar studying for the MPhil in Economics at Oxford. He graduated from Harvard in May 2022 with degrees in applied mathematics & economics and philosophy.

  • Jack Li

    PhD Fellow | Massachusetts Institute of Technology

    Jack is a first-year Ph.D. student in Financial Economics at MIT. He graduated with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College in 2022. His research interests include asset pricing and macro-finance.

  • Andi Wang

    PhD Fellow | Harvard Economics and Harvard Business School

    Andi is a fourth-year PhD student in the Business Economics program at the Harvard Economics department and Harvard Business School. He studies institutional and behavioral determinants of bond and stock prices, especially as they relate to monetary policy. He got his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his master’s degree from Tsinghua University, as a Schwarzman Scholar.
